After a long flight home from Melbourne, I was greeted with this little welcome party – my own shot staring back at me from a billboard in arrivals!! Made my heart go a little pitter-patter!!
This is shot is that iconic pool up on the roof of MBS!!
The latest Samsung Galaxy advertisement with Loh Lik Peng features a shot taken by me for Peng for his hotel Wanderlust. The ad is themed around collaboration, and I am proud to say the the work done with Peng is always a happy and productive team effort!
I was excited to get the latest OUE annual report in the mail this week! It was one of those projects, through good planning, great support, enthusiasm and focus, where everything came together. And I think the results reflect how well it went. I am actually quite proud of the outcome – an annual report with clean, vibrant and compelling images that mirror the vision of the client. It’s a bit of a career milestone for me, so I am sharing it here…..
I was happy to hear that the The Wanderlust Hotel was honored with a 2011 URA Architectural Heritage Award this week. This is the third winner that I have worked closely with in generating images that go into the competition submission – the other two being the New Majestic Hotel (2006) and The Empire Lofts (2006).
Some more of my shots of the Hotel can be found here.
While my mind was wandering (yeah, terrible pun!!) about Wanderlust, I came across an entry about the hotel in the Cool Hunting website. As it’s a site I regularly visit for inspiration, I was excited to see my shots of the The Wanderlust Hotel staring back at me. More priceless publicity for a one-of-a-kind hotel.
And while we are on the subject, the Design Hotel’s “Made By Originals” book is out, with a couple my shots.

That got your attention! But it is a big lie – I didn’t really shoot the cover… But two of my interior images did make it into the legendary magazine’s inner pages. Congratulations to the Wanderlust team, Loh Lik Peng and DP Architects for managing to garner impressive publicity for the hotel, and for Singapore.
