Belated congratulations to the Singapore Botanical Gardens for being recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a big deal because it is Singapore’s very first World Heritage Site.
It was a bit of an honour to be asked to contribute to the Garden’s Nomination Dossier. Here are some of my shots featured in the successful nomination application.
There’s this really smart guy, Malcolm Gladwell, who has a theory that the key to success in any field is, to a large extent, a matter of practicing a specific task for a total of around 10,000 hours.
Basically he’s saying that it takes around 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert in a particular topic.
I’m not sure if his theory holds water, but who cares – I have finally reached my photographic 10,000th hour! A big thankyou goes out to the people who helped me with my practice (you didn’t know I was just practicing hey!).
Here’s to the next 10,000 hours!!
